In 2006, the Group achieved remarkable growth amid rapid organic development and market consolidation, despite intensive competition. During the year, the Group recorded sales revenue of approximately RMB24,729 million, an increase of approximately 38% over last year. Net profit attributable to equity holders increased by approximately 64% to approximately RMB819 million. The business initiatives formulated by the Group at the beginning of 2006 also recorded satisfactory progress and helped reinforce the Group’s leading market position and competitiveness in the household appliances and consumer electronics retail industry in the People’s Republic of China.
At the end of 2006, total store count reached 587 stores, including 572 traditional stores, 13 digital stores and 2 flagship stores. The total network spanned across 160 cities.
